This piece extends Moritz Grossmann’s successful suite of dial inserts, designed to expose the working movement through the dial.  Previous models, the ATUM Pure M (for mesh), ATUM Pure L (for long-hole) and ATUM Pure Skull have been popular for bringing hand-made haute horologie at a lower price point, yet with great style.  

The ATUM Pure H is the next in this successful line. At first glance, it is familiar. It sports the familiar steel case, lancet-shaped hands with bright HyCeram inserts, bold seconds sub-dial, strong logo bridge and fashionable colours as its predecessors. 

A second glance reveals an exceptional new dial creation. The cut-out shape in the dial represents a collage of all of Moritz Grossmann’s signature hand shapes. So much a part of our identity, these hands frame the best view yet of the workings of the movement within. 

Dial production is entirely in-house and uses a proprietary technique. The insert is milled, wire-cut and polished flat in the manufacture. This same technique could also allow the creation of customised dials with personal monograms, heraldic emblems, and motifs. Food for thought?

Other elements of the six-part dial include the train-track minute ring, bright hand bushings, eight brightly coloured sculpted hour markers, and stylish Arabic numerals at twelve, three and nine.

The ATUM Pure H comes in stainless steel or stainless steel DLC dianoir, with a choice of white, blue, green or orange HyCeram fillings for the hands and hour markers, with matching stitching on the black alligator straps.
