Moritz Grossmann presents a fresh, new BENU Power reserve

The second platinum version of this signature model pops in irresistible blue

Launched in 2013, The BENU Power reserve was launched in 2013. Since then, the white-gold, rose-gold, and platinum versions with their argenté and grey dials have been core parts of our range and our identity.  They all share the white-red power-reserve indicator on a bar beneath the brand logo.

For this second platinum version, Moritz Grossmann chose a clear and striking blue theme: from the blue alligator strap to the blue dial and the blue seconds subdial. Together with platinum, which is 30 times rarer than gold, the deep blue imparts noblesse to this timepiece. The clear white accents of the power-reserve indicator, scales, numerals, and hands stand out crisply making it very easy to read.  The sharp point on the minute hand sweeps a railroad grid so you can appreciate the precision with which the watch catches time passing.

Hand making is one of Moritz Grossmann’s special skills. In the manufacture, these bright hands are crafted from stainless steel using a proprietary process. To contrast with the blue dial dial, small pockets sculpted into the hands are filled with white HyCeram. The striking brilliance of the hands is achieved with manual grinding and polishing.

This watch shares the calibre 100.2 movement with the earlier BENU Power Reserve models.  It’s mechanical ingenuity is matched by it’s elegance. The Grossmann balance, the modified Glashütte stopwork, the Grossmann winder with pusher, the power-reserve indicator and the immaculate High-Artistic finish produce a movement to match the very best in horology.
